Stacey Solomon has shared a heartbreaking new video of her grieving dog Peanut after her other pet pooch, Theo, died.

Watch the emotional clip below:

In the clip shared on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Stacey, 32 filmed her son Rex, two, playing with little Peanut on a walk.

Peanut, who is grieving the loss of his pal Theo, seems to be feeling a little bit better after the family’s tragic loss.

Stacey captioned the video: “Peanut for the first time all week got excited when I showed him his lead today.

“He’s been running from it and curling up by the fire every time I’ve gotten it out so me and Rex got very excited and took him out straight away.”

Peanut can be seen running and jumping with excitement as Stacey and Rex.

Later in the clip, Rex tries to collect logs for the family’s fireplace and dad Joe Swash, 39, can be seen attempting to cut wood.

After a long day outside playing, the family snuggled up by the fireplace with Rex and peanut laying on a rug comfortably.

Last week, Stacey shared the heartbreaking news that the family’s beloved pet dog Theo died in her arms on Boxing Day morning.

Sharing a selection of her favourite photos with Theo, the Loose Women panellist wrote: "The best friend we could have ever wished for. Our hearts are broken. Yesterday at home in our arms we had to say goodnight to our Theo. 11 wonderful years.

"We were so lucky to love you Fifi and we will never stop."

Stacey continued: "My lap has never felt so empty. I miss you so much already. My little girl. But oh my goodness the memories and the love you brought into our lives!

"For protecting me and the boys when we needed it most. For loving us no matter what and for holding on for so long and waiting to meet your little sister Rose.

"Rex has had the best friend in you that he could ever have wished for and the boys have had the best protector in the whole wide world. Even though Rex is only little I know him, Zachary and Leighton will never ever forget you."

We're sending all our love to Pickle Cottage!
