The DJ, 29, took to Instagram to reflect on his cameo ahead of the final hour-long special that aired on Wednesday to offer his support to his girlfriend as the cast prepared to say farewell to the beloved comedy.

He wrote on Instagram: “Tonight marks the end of an INCREDIBLE moment in TV history.

“The final hour long special episode of Derry Girls airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4!

“I couldn’t be more proud of my favourite Derry Girl @saoirsemonicajackson for putting her heart and soul into this.

“Hope you all caught the Sulta cameo last night, been in clubs all my adult life, but never had the chance to kick anyone out.

“CHUFFED, PROUD & UTTERLY BUZZING!”

Fans took to the comments to celebrate Sulta’s cameo and share their love for the couple. “Aaaah this is amazing you two,” said one fan.

Another viewer wrote: “Thought it was you”.

A third declared: “Monumental stuff!”

Another user quipped: “Oscar-worthy performance!!”

Sulta, whose real name is Hector Barbour, had a very brief appearance towards the end of the Halloween party scene in Tuesday’s episode.

He played one of the bouncers who kicked the Derry pals out of the Halloween party. He can be seen escorting Erin Quinn to the exit for a few short seconds.

Fans of Derry Girls were left in shock earlier this month after discovering the pair were an item.

The 28-year-old actress, who is known for playing Erin Quinn in the hit Channel 4 comedy, went Instagram official with her partner last year, but it seems it went over the heads of many people.

After a Twitter account posted a now-viral tweet about her relationship, fans were left feeling shocked and confused.

The tweet said: “There are some random celebrity couples out there but Denis Sulta and Erin from Derry girls takes the cake.”

“What on earth,” one shocked Twitter user replied.

“Nahhh that’s mad,” shared another person.
