Phillip Schofield has revealed that all isn't as it seems in the This Morning studio, and we can't believe we didn't notice sooner!

Watch the moment it happened here:

The presenter spilled the secrets of the This Morning studio on Thursday's programme during a segment of Spin To Win.

Phil and Holly were speaking to a phone-in contestant from Winchester when he shared the info with viewers.

Discussing the beautiful sunny weather with the contestant, Holly told her co-host: "Look out the window, Phil, it's beautiful out there!" gesturing to the studio window behind her.

Gritting his teeth, Phil replied: "Should have done that, shouldn't I?"

While Holly and the Spin To Win contestant giggled to each other, Phil revealed the truth about the scene that has stood behind them for the last number of years.

He said: "So silly. The fact that that was recorded about four years ago, but there we go!"

Yes, that scene of the London skyline and the River Thames has been the same one every day for years, and we never even noticed!

Some long-time fans of This Morning may have already been familiar with this studio secret - especially after some technical difficulties back in 2019 turned all of the screens dark.

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes had been presenting a segment when the London scene suddenly disappeared from behind them.

Although camera quickly panned away from the windows - or, should we say screens - some fans spotted the malfunction at the time.

The presenter revealed that the studio background is fake. (

Last week we told you about another This Morning blunder, when weekend host Dermot O'Leary accidentally offered a competition winner the wrong prize.

Speaking via video link to Josie Gibson, Dermot was looking to unveil the next winner of Dosh on the Doorstep: a game which sees Josie give viewers a cash prize by turning up at their house.

But Dermot's co-host Alison Hammond had to rush to correct him when he offered far too much money.

You can read more about that here.
