Peaky Blinders Fans 'Heartbroken' Over Death Scene In Latest Episode

We're not going to recover from this one.

Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Peaky Blinders!

Fans are still pulling themselves back together after Sunday night's episode of Peaky Blinders, describing the closing moments as one of the most 'heartbreaking' scenes of the entire series.

Viewers were not ready to have their hearts stomped on by Tommy and Lizzie Shelby, but when Tommy came home to some bad news, there was nothing that could stop the tears from flowing.

Watch the devastating scene here:

After meeting with Esme, Tommy learned that his daughter Ruby's illness was brought on by the same cursed sapphire that he had blamed for Grace's death.

And despite his best efforts to protect Ruby from the curse, we find her critically ill with consumption as Lizzie stays with her in hospital.

When the episode came to and end, we watched on as Tommy came home to an inconsolable Lizzie, who revealed that Ruby had sadly died.

As if things couldn't get any more horrific for Tommy, Lizzie informs him through tears that Ruby had been asking for him just before she died.

Ouch.
