A Madea Homecoming viewers have said they were 'shook' after the film's unexpected plot twist.
The latest movie in the Madea franchise (starring Tyler Perry), follows Madea as she welcomes her family into town, to celebrate her great grandson, Tim, graduating.
However, what should be a happy family occasion turns rather dramatic when some hidden family secrets threaten to ruin the trip.
In fact, a plot twist towards the end of the movie took fans by surprise, with one describing it as 'everything'.
The unexpected twist came towards the end of the film, when it's revealed that Tim's mum, Laura, has decided to marry Davi. Viewers had assumed that Tim and Davi were in a relationship, which led to fans being seriously taken aback by the twist.
"This plot twist in a madea homecoming i thought tim and davi were together 😵💫," one person wrote.
While another said: "The plot twist in A Madea Homecoming got me, wth."
And a third added: "A Madea Homecoming was funny AF; the plot twist and the closing credit took me out! 😂."
"Madea’s Homecoming had a crazy plot twist & actually was funny 🥲can’t believe Tyler got me," said a fourth.
A fifth commented: "The plot twist in A Madea Homecoming really has me shook."
"A madea homecoming had to be one of my favourites it was just plot twist after plot twist," wrote a sixth.
After the twist was revealed, many claimed that any hints the pair could have been in a relationship must have been created as a red herring.
"They weren't together just best friends is how I took it after it all went down. The beginning of the move was a misdirect," said one viewer.
The newest film in the Madea franchise, fans were shocked to see Brendan O'Carroll appearing as the Mrs Brown in the movie. The film also stars Brandon Black as Tim, Isha Blaaker as Davi, Gabrielle Dennis as Laura, Geneva Maccarone as Sylvia, Amani Atkinson as Richard and David Mann as Mr Brown.
