Harlan Coben fans were seriously stunned after discovering who was cast as the 'foot cam girl'

Netflix viewers who tuned into the latest crime series from Harlan Coben were left shocked after seeing who made a cameo.

Coben fans were buzzing when the five-part TV series finally landed on the streamer on New Year's Day, especially given its star-studded cast.

Fronted by Slow Horses actress Rosalind Eleazar, who steps into the shoes of protagonist Detective Kat Donovan, the series also stars the likes of Top Boy's Ashley Walters, Sir Lenny Henry, Marc Warren, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt and Matt Willis.

The series follows Kat who finds out the hard way that some secrets are best left in the past when she mysteriously matches with her ex Josh (Ashley Walters) on a dating app - the same man who went ‘missing’ from her life 11 years ago.

As she investigates the case of a missing person, Josh’s reappearance forces her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

The Netflix series in question is called Missing You and you can watch the official trailer here:

Now, amidst the cast of big TV names was none other than GK Barry, real name Grace Keeling.

The 25-year-old internet personality, who only left the I'm A Celebrity jungle last month (6 December), made a cameo appearance in the first episode's opening credits and again in the fourth episode as the 'foot cam girl' who goes by the name Vanessa, and Netflix viewers are obsessed with it.

One Twitter user penned: "Am I seeing things or was that GK Barry at the start of Missing You?"

"GK Barry girl, what are you doing here?" quipped a second, while a third chimed in: "That’s GK Barry no?!?! In the opening of missing you wtf?"

A fourth piped up: "Am I seeing things or was that GK Barry at the start of Missing You?"

"No because why is GK Barry in the new Harlan Coben series on Netflix??" exclaimed another.

And a final user echoed: "I was not expecting to see GKBarry in the opening scenes of Missing You."

Grace has since revealed how she came about landing the role.

She told Cosmopolitan that someone had actually reached out and asked her if she wanted to be a part of the show.

"They approached my manager and said, 'We're doing this new Netflix show, and we'd love Grace to be a little part in it.' And I thought, 'Well, I'm not going to say no'," she revealed.

"So we got on a call, and they were explaining who my character was, and it made me laugh so much because it's very on brand."

The TikTok star continued: "They gave me a brief outline of what it was about and read me the line up of people [involved] and I thought, 'I absolutely will do that.'

"I just wanted to do it because I thought it was kind of iconic. I want to build the CV up so my parents cannot moan about anything!"

And as for Grace's acting future?

Well, she seems to be well up for taking on some more roles, telling the outlet: "I would do [more acting], like The Office vibes, or something that doesn't involve tense acting.

"I couldn't do Game of Thrones."

Missing You is currently available to stream on Netflix.
