Explosive first look at Love is Blind Season 3

Hold onto your wedding hats, Netflix has dropped a fresh teaser for the upcoming season of Love is Blind and it looks explosive. You won't want to miss this:

Around eight months have flown by since season 2 took over our lives in February and the third series looks just as chaotic.

In case you’ve never watched an episode of Netflix’s wildest dating show (where have you been?) the premise for the new batch of episodes largely remains intact.

Brave singletons will get to know each other in pods but they are unable to see each other face-to-face until they decide to get engaged.

After the engagements, the couples are flown out to a fancy hotel in a tropical location for romantic honeymoons with the other couples, before planning their weddings and meeting each other's families.

Once at the altar, the couples will have to reveal whether they have decided to tie the knot.

And as shows like Married at First Sight have shown us in the past, mayhem always unfolds.

The series is hosted by real-life couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who often offer their own tips and anecdotes about married life.

Judging by the new teaser, some of the singletons will have second thoughts about their chosen partner. There may also be fiancé swaps and unrequited feelings – which makes for binge-worthy viewing.

There are 30 unlucky-in-love people looking for love including Ashley, a 29-year-old chiropractor who is looking for ‘somebody that I can enjoy doing life with.’

Meanwhile, Brennon, 32, a water treatment engineer, is looking for someone ‘that’s a take charge personality’.

Nancy, a 32-year-old real estate investor, is looking for a partner she can be ‘genuine’ with.

Anthony, 33, is looking for someone that is ‘spontaneous’ and ‘fun’.

And Brannigan, 35, a critical care nurse, wants someone who has ‘integrity’ and is ‘able to hold an intellectual conversation and is a good person.’

The last time Love is Blind hit the headlines was a mere month ago when several couples announced they had filed for divorce around the time the season 2 reunion aired last month.

Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely announced their divorce in August. Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson announced their split less than a week later.

And, after failing to find love during the show, contestants Deepti Vempati and Kyle Abrams announced they were dating only to reveal they had called it quits days later.

The Love is Blind universe is wild.

Season 3 drops on 19 October on Netflix.
