Love Is Blind viewers have been left scratching their heads after some 'plus-size' contestants for the new series disappeared after the opening episodes.

Fans of the Netflix reality series were excited to see the pods reopen once again after a wildly entertaining debut last year - and even more thrilled to see a diverse group of contestants.

In the opening moments of the new season, two contestants named Chassidy and Hope spoke to openly about their excitement to meet and date new people without being pre-judged on their weight.

But after meeting all 30 men and women in episode one, fans noticed that some contestants got phased out rather quickly.

One viewer tweeted: "#LoveIsBlind really strolled out two plus size women in the premiere making us think we were going to have diversity…then we never saw them again 😂".

Another irritated fan wrote: "I really wanted to see the plus size women's storylines... I've seen them both for a combined two minutes. I hate that they bamboozled me again! So annoying! #LoveIsBlind #loveisblind2."

A third wrote: "The plus size women didn't even get screen time. What was the point, #LoveIsBlind?"

So far, there are five episodes of Love Is Blind available to watch on the streaming service, with new episodes being added every week.

After being introduced to Chassidy and Hope in episode one, viewers called on Netflix to explain the girls' mysterious disappearances.

"Day two in the first episode and I haven't seen Chassidy or Hope, producers what are you doing? #LoveIsBlind" asked one viewer.

"On the third episode, I’m yet to see the plus-size women? 🙄#LoveIsBlind" wrote another.

"Where the hell is Chassidy?? We’ve legit haven’t seen her since the 1st episode. Did she not find love or something? We finally get a big girl on this show and this is how y’all do her? #LoveIsBlind" tweeted a third

Tyla has approached Netflix for a comment.

The first five episodes of Love Is Blind are available to watch on Netflix now.
