The second season of Love Is Blind has has us glued to our screens. 

Although fans of the hit Netflix dating show are anxiously awaiting the season finale this weekend, we've already seen one couple (Kyle and Shaina) end their relationship on their honeymoon, of all places, while another have down-right seemed to struggle since meeting face-to-face (Nick and Danielle). 

The second series of the reality series is also celebrating its two-year anniversary since the first season hit our screens in 2020.

Love Is Blind season one, which was aired in February 2020, saw 30 men and women attempting to form connections with one another from behind a screen. Six of the couples got engaged and had the aim of committing to marriage - all without initially meeting each other in person.

Despite initially being worried about their cultural differences, their love continued to grow, and even took them to the altar where they ended up tying the knot.

It’s hardly surprising, then, that the married couple is still going strong in 2022. 

They often post loved-up pictures on Instagram, take romantic holidays together, and are even hosts of their own YouTube channel, Hanging With the Hamiltons.

Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers:

Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers’ relationship was a turbulent one on the show, to say the least. 

The pair did make it to the altar, but their hopes for marriage came to a bitter end when Damian said “no”.

The couple did manage to rekindle their relationship, and Giannina previously told E!Online that she contacted him again in March 2020. 

“After everything went down, I reached out to him [Damian] because I just wanted to see where we stand,” she told the publication.

Giannina and Damian carried on dating on and off until July 2021, when the Love Is Blind reunion aired.

In perhaps the strangest reality TV crossover to land on our screens, Damian decided to bring along Too Hot To Handle’s Francesca Fargo for the reunion, which, understandably, upset Giannina. 

It’s no surprise that in 2022, Giannina and Damian have ended things for good.

Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas:

It’d be difficult for fans to forget the drama which spiralled out of Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas’ relationship. Namely, Jessica still had eyes for contestant Matt Barnett, while she struggled to manifest a physical relationship with Mark at the beginning.

Jessica is now engaged to Ben McGrath, a doctor, while Mark is engaged to Aubrey Rainey (@jessicabatten_).

When it got to their wedding day, Mark was ready to say “I do”, while Jessica replied: “I cannot”.

Both Jessica and Mark have since found love elsewhere.

Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes:

For Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes, alarm bells were ringing when Kelly said: “I don’t know if I’m 100 per cent in love with him [Kenny]… that love that I had for my ex-boyfriend, I don’t have that crazy infatuation for that man”... on the morning of their wedding. Yikes!

The couple parted ways since their wedding day and haven’t been in touch since (Netflix).

Now, Kelly is an entrepreneur-come-podcast-host, who’s spoken with some of her previous cast members on a number of occasions. 

Meanwhile, Kenny has moved on and is now happily engaged to Alexandra Garrison.

Amber said on the show: “Considering where I was in life before I came into this experience, I would never have guessed I’d be in a wedding gown right now, with a ring on my finger, and whole new last name. I wouldn’t have believed it!”

Now, two years on, the lovebirds are still together and told their fellow contestants at the Love Is Blind reunion that they’re considering starting a family.
