People are begging Netflix users to watch 'underrated' fantasy series Lockwood & Co. so that it'll get a second season.

Since it dropped on Netflix last month, the mini-series has stormed the TV charts, but that mightn't be enough to get it renewed. Check out the trailer:

It's a scary time for Netflix shows at the moment, with titles getting axed left, right, and centre from Fate: The Winx Saga to Warrior Nun.

Now, when users find a new series and get attached, they have to go to war on social media to try and convince Netflix execs to keep it running.

That's what's currently going on with fans of Lockwood & Co. which already has fans worrying about its second season despite the first having just dropped.

The show, based on the book series by Jonathan Stout, tells the story a psychic young woman named Lucy (Ruby Stokes) and two ghost hunters Anthony (Cameron Chapman) and George (Ali Hadji-Heshmati) who run business Lockwood & Co.

An official Netflix description of the show reads: "In a world plagued by ghosts, where giant corporations employ psychic teens to battle the supernatural, only one company operates without adult supervision, and its name is Lockwood & Co.

"Run by Anthony Lockwood, a rebellious young entrepreneur haunted by his mysterious past, his brilliant but eccentric sidekick George and a newly arrived, supremely gifted girl called Lucy, this renegade trio are about to unravel a terrifying mystery that will change the course of history."

Those who tuned in to the new fantasy drama fell in love immediately.

Soon after it dropped on 27 January, it shot to second place on Netflix's Top 10, and within the week it took the top spot.

Petrified of losing their new favourite show, fans have already begun calling for a second season.

"I’m quite literally begging, on my knees, for everyone to watch Lockwood & Co bc I will not survive without another season of this beautiful show with this amazing cast, PLS don’t let me down," tweeted one fan.

A second warned: "Alright, I finally finished Lockwood & Co and I can confidently say that if it is not renewed for a second season I WILL be rioting."

"Watch Lockwood & Co so we can get a season 2, I beg," penned a fourth.

"If Netflix even dares to not renew Lockwood & Co I will show up at their HQ," another threatened.

Take that as a very gentle warning, Netflix.

The people want more Lockwood & Co. Give the people what they want!
