Kourtney Kardashian has criticised the editing of new show The Kardashians in the most recent episode, which dropped on Disney+ on Thursday 9 June.

Kourtney, who recently tied the knot with Travis Barker, was talking to her friend Stephanie Shepherd over lunch about how the filming has been for the new show.

Explaining they were having 'the best time ever', Kourtney did say they had been left 'annoyed' by some of the edits because they felt were being 'swirled in drama' surrounding her ex, Scott Disick.

Speaking about their engagement episode, she said: “Editors or whoever are taking it as, let's take Kourtney as the chosen one to be the drama.”

She later added to cameras: “We are all executive producers, so we get to see cuts of the show and give notes on episodes and make sure that our stories are being told.

“I'm in one of the best places I've ever been in my life and it's time for our show to catch up.”

Speaking about a conversation with her sisters, in which Kendall asked Kourtney on her engagement night if she 'had sympathy for Scott', Kourtney added: “I didn't even remember it until I saw the cut of the episode.

“It's enabling this old narrative and buying into something that doesn't really exist. It should be an empowering episode about me getting out of toxic relationships and having this fairytale love story that is my reality.

"I wish they would take that out and put it in the next episode and give us our respect... let us have our moment."

In response, Steph added: “This story for you is you were in a s*** relationship and now you're in a great one. The great one should be focused on.

“If I were someone watching the show, I would obviously be asking those same questions like, ‘what's Scott going to say?’ I understand that's a normal thought.

“But I think we were talking about, out of respect for Travis and you being able to come out of that place in your life, I don't want to harp on this storyline anymore.”

Kourtney added: “It's all good. We've been broken up for seven years. I'm allowed to create new memories and new ways of doing things.”

Throughout the season, Scott, who shares three children with Kourtney – Mason, 12, Penelope, nine and Reign, seven – has accused some members of the Kardashians of 'leaving him out' of family events due to Kourtney and Travis's relationship.

Kourtney, meanwhile, has since married Travis, with the pair celebrating their third ceremony last month in Italy.
