Harry Potter fans are losing their minds after catching Dumbledore confess his love for Grindelwald in the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore.
In a fleeting scene from the trailer, Dumbledore (Jude Law) is seen sitting down with Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) before revealing his true feelings.

Among Potterheads, it was common knowledge that Dumbledore was gay - a fact that author J.K Rowling confirmed back in 2007.
At the time, Rowling told fans that Dumbledore had, in his past, fallen in love with the charming wizard Gellert Grindelwald. But when Grindelwald got himself wrapped up in the world of the dark arts, Dumbledore was "terribly let down" and went on to take him down in a battle between good and evil.
After the latest Fantastic Beasts trailer confirmed that Dumbledore and Grindelwald's relationship would be explored, fans took to Twitter to discuss the relationship.
Reacting to the scene, one fan wrote: "'Because i was in love with you' OH MY GOD DUMBLEDORE AND GRINDELWALD IS REAL!!!!!!"
Another gobsmacked user tweeted: "Dumbledore fully confessed he's in love with Grindelwald in the new trailer I do not know how I'm supposed to feel."
And a third simply quoted: "BECAUSE I WAS IN LOVE WITH YOU???????"
A fourth fan joked: "omg Dumbledore in love with Mads Mikkelsen? he’s just like me fr".
And a fifth gushed: "Dumbledore: 'Because I was in love with you.' 😍 I am STUNNED. I can’t believe he just said that. Now I really know I’m not gonna survive watching it in cinema."
Meanwhile, a sixth tweeted: "Dumbledore said: because I was in love with you OMG OMGOMGOMG".
We feel the same way.
A synopsis of the upcoming film reads: "Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world.
"Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers.
"But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?"
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released on 8th April 2022 in the UK and 15th April 2022 in the US.
