Viewers found themselves in tears this morning watching Good Morning Britain, after the parents of kidnapped teenager Angel Lynn discussed her life-changing injuries.

You can watch the emotional footage below.

Shocking CCTV footage was released last week which showed the moment Angel, 19, was grabbed off the streets by Chay Bowskill, 20, and shoved in the back of his silver van.

Shortly after Angel was kidnapped, she fell from the van, which was travelling at 60mph.

Bowskill was sentenced to a total of seven-and-a-half years in prison, and was convicted of coercive and controlling behaviour and perverting the course of justice.

After the incident left Angel with traumatic and severe head injuries and brain damage, she now needs her family to provide her with round the clock care.

Fans were left emotional after the segment on GMB, taking to Twitter to express their sympathy for the family.

“Oh Angel Lynn, you poor poor woman. Your poor family, all suffering because of some controlling nutters that will not serve anywhere near enough time as they should, shameful sentence for a truly horrendous crime that cause catastrophic injuries,” one person wrote.

#GMB Absolutely heartbreaking seeing how Angel and her family's life has been shattered,” said a second.

“The sentence that the Angel Lynn’s ex boyfriend got is disgusting. It’s another case where violence against women is not taken seriously. He will come out of prison and abuse another woman in a couple of years,” a third agreed.
