Davide Sanclimenti's sister Valeria has set the record straight after unfollowing Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu on Instagram.
The Love Island winners Davide and Ekin-Su won ITV viewers’ hearts with their passion and humour, leaving Luca Bish and Gemma Owen in second place on Monday’s final episode.
However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Davide’s sister, a theoretical physicist, had unfollowed her brother’s partner on social media.
Valeria has since taken to Instagram to clear up the worries, writing: "I have been receiving many dm asking what for unfollowing @ekinsuofficial. Thanks for asking, but nothing happened!
"Yesterday night I was reacting to many photos of them and tomorrow I just realised I unfollowed Ekin, thanks for your messages. I'm sorry I made you worry."

She added: "I love her and Davide and I hope to meet her again soon. EkinDe."
Tyla can now confirm that Valeria is once again following her potential sister-in-law, but Ekin-Su is not following her back on Instagram as of yet.
A representative of the reality star told Tyla: "Ekin-Su only just got her phone back late last night after eight weeks and, as you can imagine, once she turned it on, she would have been inundated with texts and WhatsApps.
"So, she just hasn't had time to be on her phone and her socials to follow Davide's friends and family back yet, but I'm sure she will when she catches up with everything," they confirmed.
Despite not having the easiest Love Island journey, the pair have come out on top and were crowned the winners of the 2022 season.
Social media users were quick to celebrate the win, with one gushing: "GOD IS REAL!”
A second viewer praised: "Ekin-Su and Davide deserve this 50k as a fee for their entertainment alone [sic]."
"A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO MUM AND DAD for not only winning the show but for winning our hearts," wrote a third. "I love them so much. AHHHHHHH IM SO EXCITED for Ekin-Su & Davide. Well deserved [sic]."
"I'm SO excited to watch Ekin-Su & Davide's careers/lives flourish. I feel like a proud child," celebrated a fourth before adding: "mom & dad [sic]."
Meanwhile, a different fan used the pair's victory to argue that viewers need older contestants in future seasons.
They wrote: "Ekin-Su & Davide are proof that we want to see islanders over the age of 25 fall in love too pls [sic]."
Another fan pointed out the reaction to the announcement of the winners compared to the runners-up.
They asked: "Did anyone else notice the cheers for Ekin-Su & Davide versus the virtual silence when Laura called out Gemma & Luca's names after [sic]."
