Amanda Holden mocks Holly Willoughby after This Morning statement

Amanda Holden mocks Holly Willoughby after This Morning statement

A day after Holly Willoughby appeared in a white dress asking 'are you ok', Amanda Holden did the same

Amanda Holden appears to have thrown some shade at Holly Willoughby and This Morning in a recent video she released on Instagram.

The Britain's Got Talent judge took to social media to post a video of herself in a white dress where she opened the message by saying: "Hello, it is Tuesday. Are you ok?"

While this might seem like a pretty normal message, there's a bit of context to chuck into the mix for those who weren't watching This Morning yesterday (5 June).

Holly Willoughby appeared on the show for the first time since Phillip Schofield had left in a white dress and opened her statement by saying: "Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok? I hope so."

With the white dress and the 'are you ok' comment, it seems that Holden was making reference to Willoughby's words on the This Morning affair.

Monday was Willoughby's first time on the This Morning sofa since Schofield's departure and having been his co-presenter for so long, she gave a statement on the matter.

She said: "You, me and everyone gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth – who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process."

Schofield had left This Morning for good after admitting that he'd had a consensual relationship with a younger colleague, which he described as 'unwise but not illegal'.

The show will go on without him while Willoughby appears set to continue on This Morning as a presenter.

On the Monday edition, she was accompanied by Josie Gibson.

During her absence from the show, Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond had been holding down the fort.

Holden herself has some recent experience over getting rinsed on social media after she posted a picture of herself in Paris.

Her ex-husband Les Dennis then responded with a post of his own taking the mick a bit by joking that he was in the far more glamorous location of Leicester, along with a picture of himself in a dressing room ahead of his appearance in the musical 42nd Street.

The internet was basically made for that sort of thing and people thought Dennis had got one over on Holden on that occasion, and praised him for putting together a 'boss tweet dennis'.

A spokesperson for Amanda Holden told Tyla: "Amanda has always made it clear in the past she has no issues with Holly. Today’s video has been taken out of context."
