Well, you definitely won’t lose it.

If you're anything like us, you're constantly losing your jewellery - and replacing it constantly is both costly and just a total effort.

Well, one store has solved the problem of having your bracelet continuously slip off your wrists - by having it permanently welded onto you. Yep, it's fairly extreme.

Jewellery store Catbird, based in New York, offers customers the opportunity to get 'zapped' - their term for getting a bracelet customised to fit you and welded onto your skin.

Watch the process below.

Starting for a little as $94 (£67.84 in GBP) the store offers a range of bracelets and jewels that can be welded onto your wrist by a Catbird jeweller. The bracelet will then stay on your wrist, with no need for a clasp or for any maintenance.

And if you tire of your bracelet? It can be clipped off, no worries, with a pair of scissors - although you won't be able to put back on again.

Catbird explained the process is called "zapping" because of the flash you will see when the bracelet is welded onto your wrist.

The process was shared on TikTok by user Presley Parker, who showed off her iced-up wrist with a sparkling bracelet.

Showing off the finished product to her followers, Presley said she was 'so obsessed' with the bracelet.

Her video, which has since amassed 2.5 million views, have left some people divided on getting a piece of jewellery permanently welded onto their wrist.

"I don't know why, but this makes me feel claustrophobic!" one person said, while another added: "I feel like I would want this cut off so fast."

"I wouldn't be able to do this because it would break immediately," a third said, while a fourth pointed out: "It's all fun and games until you're at the airport."

However, others quite liked the idea of having a permanent bracelet, with some comparing the idea to getting matching tattoos.

"This would be a cute and safe replacement for matching tattoos with someone!" one person wrote.

A second tagged their friend and said: "Let's get this done together!", while a third wrote: "If I ever find a place near us, we should get matching ones!"

But there was a mixed response to the bracelet (

Presley herself explained in the comments she was looking to purchase another bracelet.

"I'm going to get my mom one so we can have matching ones!" she said.

Well, the jury's out on this one.
