Parents can now get free school shoes for kids this September but there's a catch

Time to get ready for back-to-school!

There’s no doubt about it, getting your children ready to go back to school can not only be a stressful experience for everyone involved but the costs can soon start to add up. Which is why we simply had to share this great offer from school shopping favourite Clarks.

You’ve probably paid a visit to Clarks with your little ones to get their feet measured over the years and they can quickly go through a growth spurt which means that you ultimately need to buy a new pair of shoes months or even weeks later. But Clarks has a handy seasonal offer that will save you from having to part with your hard earned cash twice this summer.

Essentially, if your little ones grow out of their school shoes within three months of their in-store fitting, they can come and exchange them for a new pair, completely free of charge.

You do have to have had a Clarks in-store fitting to take advantage of the offer but since these are completely free to book and will ensure that their shoes are a perfect fit in terms of both the width and shoe size, you would most likely be taking a trip to get their feet measured anyway. You can read more about the Fit Guarantee here.

And that’s not all. They’ve also frozen the prices of a number of their bestselling Back To School collection styles at what they cost in 2023 – so, there’s no price hike there – with their brand new 2024 shoes being dropped in price too.

That will certainly help to make that part of the back to school shopping a little easier on our wallets.

Clarks JAZZY JIG KID BLACK PATENT (£40)

Whether you and your daughter prefer the patent or classic black leather finish, customers have praised how ‘comfortable’ the JAZZY JIG shoes are. The riptape strap fastening also makes them super easy to put on and take off, which is always handy if you’re running late one morning.

Clarks SCALA BLOOM YOUTH BLACK LEATHER (£38)

Or why not combine the traditional leather finish with a pop of patent with this simple pair of ballet flats. Not only is a ballet-style shoe very much in style at the moment, but this pair has plenty of five-star reviews on the Clarks website. One happy shopper called them “beautiful shoes, well made and so comfortable.” While another added: “This is the second time I am purchasing exactly the same pair of school shoes for my 10 year old daughter as they are very comfortable and strong.”

Clarks CICA STAR ORB YOUTH BLACK (£46)

Available in a number of different widths and sizes, this pair are also ideal for putting on and taking off in seconds, without your little one having to worry about lacing them up. And they have also had their price frozen to what they cost last year, with them also being incredibly lightweight and durable.

Clarks LORCAM LOOP YOUTH BLACK LEATHER (£54)

This pair looks so smart and will work particularly well for older boys. New for 2024, one happy shopper took to the website to explain: “Soft but supportive and protective leather, proper grippy leather sole and not the slippy plasticity junk some retailers are offering, without being as bulky and heavy as other Clarks derby style shoe offerings for senior school boys,” while giving them a five-star rating.
