Hairdresser shares five annoying things most clients are guilty of during haircut

Odds are we've probably all done one or two of these

A hairdresser has shared the five annoying things most clients are guilty of when getting a haircut.

Telesa, who goes the handle @telesabrown online, took to TikTok to share with her hundreds of followers her pet peeves when it comes to people sat in her chair.

Telesa began by telling viewers: "Here are five things that hair stylists secretly hate that you do."

Up first on the rundown is when they 'show up late' or simply don't show up at all.

"We get that things happen," she continued, "but, typically, a busy hairstylist has a full day of clients and showing up more than five minutes late actually affects the rest of our day.

"No shows I mean, come on. Obviously, we don't make money with no one in our chair - expect to be charged for this."

Second on the list is 'showing up to a colour with dirty hair', with Telesa explaining: "I understand for years hair stylists were telling you to do this, it's not your fault, but I'm here to correct it.

"Hair colour works better on clean hair - so for the best results come with clean hair. Also, it's gross."

She said one thing was particularly 'gross'.

The third pet peeve is 'showing up sick'.

Telesa said she 'can't believe this still happens' in 'this day and age', before revealing: "Most people, myself included, waves cancellation fees for being sick because we don't want it.

"I do not want to cancel a week worth of clients just to get you in. I understand that usually most of you have waited, but please don't show up sick."

Fourth on the list is 'asking for a completely different appointment then what you are booked for'.

So, Telesa explains, if you've booked in for a haircut and then ask for a colour or book in for highlight then ask for colour correction then it makes it super 'difficult' for the hairdresser.

"It's hard," she says, "especially being self employed to say no because usually they're big services that we want to do.

"But timing is different for every particular service. If you want something different than you normally get, please reach out to your stylist in advance and typically they can figure it out to accommodate."

There was another annoying trait that was a huge 'red flag'.

And last but by no means least, is what Telesa calls the 'worst one' of them all.

Opening up about the fifth and final annoying thing clients do, the hairdresser warned: "Do not come in and say that no one knows how to cut or colour your hair.

"That is a red flag for us."

Telesa said: "That's a big red flag because typically that means to me that probably no matter what I do, you're not going to be happy with it."

She revealed that it makes her 'not want to do your hair',

"Of course we try our hardest and sometimes you've just had bad luck and hairstylists that don't do what you want. But I would say 99% of the time you're the problem," Telesa added.

So, there you have it.
