When a woman suspected that her partner might be cheating on her, she decided to ask her local radio station for help.

After convincing herself that her boyfriend of five years was seeing another woman behind her back, the loyal listener of New Zealand radio station The Edge asked presenter duo Sharyn and Jayden to help her expose him.

Watch the shocking moment here:

Radio DJ Sharyn Casey told listeners that she had done some 'next-level stalking' of the anonymous girlfriend's partner and had formulated the perfect plan to catch him out.

While live on air, Sharyn called up the boyfriend and, under a fake name, asked him if he'd be up for helping her organise a surprise birthday party for his colleague - the suspected other woman.

Sharyn's co-host Jayden King sat in stunned silence, burying his face in his hands as he listened to the drama unfold.

Claiming to be a friend of the other woman, Sharyn told the boyfriend over the phone: "We're organising a surprise party and I just need a bit of help with some stuff, like to invite some of her friends from work - because you guys work together, right?"

The cheater was caught red-handed live on air by Sharyn Casey (left) and co-host Jayden.

Unaware that his girlfriend was listening on the other end of the line, the man replied: "Ah yeah, you know, I could invite a few people around for her. Yeah, it'll be an awesome day out."

Pushing further, Sharyn suggested: "You guys could go for dinner somewhere nearby then bring her up at 8pm. Because you guys are official now, like boyfriend/girlfriend, right? So it wouldn't be weird if you take her on a date."

Digging himself a serious hole, the man replied: "I guess you can say we are."

Suddenly snapping out of character, presenter Sharyn then coyly asked him: "When you ask her out on the date, will you put that in your calendar, and will you also put it in your girlfriend's calendar?

"Just wondering if she likes to keep up with your other relationships."

The girlfriend's suspicions were unfortunately confirmed.

Stumbling over his words, the boyfriend then claimed that Sharyn had the "wrong guy" and must have been "thinking about a different person".

But Sharyn wasn't having it, and hit back asking: "Really? Are you the one that [the colleague] works with?"

When the heated conversation ended, Sharyn and Jayden got the devastated girlfriend back on the line.

"I'm so sorry!" Sharyn told her.

The anonymous woman held back tears as she replied: "I knew that it probably was real but it's kind of f**ked up when you hear it."

Listeners were just as shocked as the girlfriend, and couldn't believe what they had just heard on their airwaves.

We can only imagine what happened between the anonymous couple after the show ended, but hopefully the girlfriend came out on top.

On the bright side, with thousands of witnesses to back her up, there's no way he's getting out of this one!
