Man who is 37 years younger than his wife hits back at trolls who question why they’re together

Quran and Cheryl, who met when the former was 15 years old, have responded to trolls in a new TikTok post

A man who is 37 years younger than his wife has defended their relationship after trolls continue to criticise the couple online.

Quran McCain, 25, has three million followers on TikTok which he shares with his 62-year-old wife Cheryl McGregor.

The couple live in Rome, Georgia, and have achieved worldwide fame because of the almost four-decade gap between them.

The pair met over a decade ago in 2012 when Quran was only 15 years old. They were both employed at the fast food restaurant Dairy Queen at the time and their love didn’t bloom until a few years later.

The couple's age gap has caused a stir online.

After losing contact, they reconnected in 2020 which is when they fell in love. Quran, who now works as a caretaker, saw Cheryl working as a cashier at a convenience store and sparks apparently flew.

They tied the knot in 2021 after Quran popped the question during a TikTok live broadcast which streamed to 20,000 viewers.

He recently took to the video-sharing platform to answer his most asked question: “Why do you go so hard for someone who is 37 years older than you?”

Quran responded by writing the lyric: “I wanna feel alive I don't even wanna die anymore.”

The line is taken from the 2017 song ‘1-800-273-8255’ by the rapper Logic.

Cheryl’s husband captioned the TikTok post: “She completes me.”

The new video was met with kinder comments compared to the reaction Quran and Cheryl normally get. This didn’t go unnoticed by their followers either as lots of commenters called out the trolls.

“Y'all switch up [real quick],” one person wrote.

Another TikTok user added: “Am I in another dimension [because] I swear not even a week ago these comments were just hate now look at it. What’s with the switch I’m confused.”

Quran responded to his most asked question with a song lyric.

Quran’s message has seemingly gone down well with people on social media, as many were calling the couple ‘sweet’ and ‘cute’.

“Good on you enjoy each other be happy,” one follower shared.

Another gushed: “This is acc so sweet.”

A third penned: “You 2 are cute together. I can't wait to be as happy as you guys one day!”

And a fourth declared: “Age is a number if you are both happy then let it be.”
