A new cruise brand will let passengers live at sea in their very own luxury condo, and the 'forever cruise' is not even as expensive as you might think.

Villa Vie Residences is offering customers the chance to ‘own a villa at sea’ - for almost a third of the average price of a home in the UK.

Promising ‘unparalleled luxury’, the residential cruise ship contains ‘stylish, fully equipped’ villas so that you can travel the world in the comfort of your own home.

Better still, friends and family can visit for no extra cost... Though no doubt everyone will become your bestie when they find out.

“Embark on a voyage of endless exploration and discovery as we invite you to join our Continuous world cruise,” its website says.

Villa Vie Residences

“This isn’t just an ordinary cruise; it’s a transformative experience that will awaken your sense of wonder, broaden your horizons, and connect you with a global community of like-minded adventurers.

“Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking landscapes, immersed in diverse cultures, and pampered by unparalleled luxury.”

The ship will circumnavigate the globe every 3.5 years, taking you to more than 420 ports in 147 countries, spanning all seven continents – from the fjords of northern Europe to the golden, sandy beaches of the Caribbean.

“Think of each port as a holiday within a holiday,” the website adds.

“Immerse yourself in enriching experiences as we make extended 2-7 day stops at each port.

“From art classes onboard to local festivities ashore, every destination offers a fresh adventure, letting you dive deep into diverse cultures, events, and culinary delights.

The ‘villas’ - or cabins – start at $99,000 (£82,281) per unit, although if you’re desperate for some outside space to soak up those views, you can pay up to $249,999 (£205,704) for a balcony.

To put that into perspective, the average UK house price in June 2023 was £290,000, according to data from the Office for National Statistics released earlier this year.

Prices start from just $99,000.
Villa Vie Residences

Mikael Petterson, the company’s chief executive officer and a veteran cruise industry executive, said: "Villa Vie Residences is not just a cruise—it's a lifestyle reimagined.

“With the launch of our new brand, we are empowering travelers to make the world their home, all while enjoying unmatched luxury and flexibility."
