Airport crushes. We've all had one, and it's clear the phenomenon goes a lot further than the gate as can sometimes follow you right onto the plane.

So, to help you out with any crushes you're feeling whilst soaring the skies, one air hostess has revealed one way to 'shoot your shot' if you see a 'cute' crew member during your flight.

Tyra, who goes by the handle @wheelsupwithtyra online, took to TikTok to share some pearls of wisdom after working as a flight attendant for six years.

She captioned the short clip: "If you see a cute flight attendant and want to start a conversation please don’t :) here is some better advice…"

However, for those still keen to have an airborne meet-cute, Tyra offered a '101 tip' on how not to hit on a flight attendant.

"Okay, do not hit on a flight attendant in flight... during flight, whatever," she began. "Do not do that because you are making it awkward."

The Delta Air Lines air hostess continued: "And, you know what, the flight attendant just has to be nice to you.

"It's just a really uncomfortable situation and we do not like that."

With that said, though, Tyra did reveal what one of the best ways is to approach the situation respectfully.

She said: "Okay, but if you want to shoot your shot then your best bet is just handing your number over to the flight attendant when you are getting off that plane.

"Then you're not making it awkward and you're leaving it up to the flight attendant whether or not she wants to text you."

Makes sense.

People have since rushed into the comments to share their thoughts on Tyra's top tip, with one TikTok user writing: "Good advice."

"Good tip," praised a second while a third chimed in: "Oh yeah, I’m picking up what she’s putting down. Why bother them while they’re at work? I’m sure they put up with 100’s of a-holes on a daily basis."

Another penned: "Thanks for the idea!"

One TikTok user, however, clearly had quite the issue with Tyra's video hitting out: "I shoot my shot when I feel like it don’t need your permission ever."

Tyra then patiently explained: "It’s just advice but I’d say chances are higher if ur considerate of her work space and shoot ur shot once ur leaving…"

Sounds about right to me, that.
