Baba Vanga may have predicted 'cannibal storm' in chilling 2025 prediction

Bulgarian prophetess Baba Vanga reportedly predicted this week's storm a long time ago

A 'cannibal storm' rapidly approaching Earth may have been predicted by notorious mystic Baba Vanga over three decades earlier.

NASA announced earlier this week that its launch of the ESCAPADE Mars spacecraft aboard Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket would need to be postponed as a result of the powerful solar storm.

The decision was reportedly made on the basis that the freak weather could impact the spacecraft's intricate tech systems.

Named for its ability to feed off of another storm to grow in both size and power, this week's 'cannibal storm' was on track to become the biggest that scientists have observed in over 20 years.

Apparently, however, long before the intergalactic winds first started whipping up, one individual knew that the record-breaking storm was a'brewing.

We are, of course, talking about long-dead Bulgarian prophetess Baba Vanga.

Real name Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, the blind mystic is famed across the globe for having accurately predicted a number of world events throughout history, up to the present day and beyond, despite having passed away back in 1996.

Interestingly, she's predicted events for every year up until 5079, and has been right so many times that she’s gained notoriety for her scarily accurate premonitions (9/11, the rise of Barack Obama the assassination of Indira Gandhi), even from beyond the grave.

And by the sounds of one of her eeriest prophesies, she saw this week's solar storm coming a mile off.

According to records, the clairvoyant predicted a number of natural disasters for the year 2025, 'including the eruption of dormant volcanoes', EuroNews reports, and 'massive floods', which will reported 'wreak havoc'.

On top of this Vanga is also said to have 'specifically mentioned an earthquake along the US west coast', with the three disasters reportedly set to result in both loss of life and mass displacement.

Though she failed to mention space specifically, Vanga's general reference to 'havoc' being 'wreaked' could allude to this week's storm.

As a reminder, 'cannibal storms' are caused by bursts of charged particles, energy, and magnetic fields from the Sun. Because of this, upon reaching Earth, these storms disturb the planet’s magnetic field, producing auroras and interfering with technology.

According to the British Geological Survey (BGS) - which upgraded the solar storm level to its absolute maximum level - scientists have already seen evidence of the strongest ground-level geo-electric field they've recorded since monitoring began.

The aftermath could, therefore, include GPS disruption, radio blackouts, power grid strains, power outages and spacecraft orientation problems.

Thankfully, however, NASA has already assured scientists that the Earth’s magnetic field and atmosphere shield humans from harmful radiation.

The storm was due to arrive late yesterday evening or early morning today (13 November), and the Met Office Space Weather Operations Centre has said that while there is still a chance of a geomagnetic battering tonight, it's been downgraded from G5 to the less severe G3.

So let's hope Vanga was wrong about this one!
