Princess Beatrice has been given a new royal role following her father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's, recent exile from the royal family.
The 37-year-old, who has a younger sister, Princess Eugenie, 35, has been appointed the new Deputy Patron of Outward Bound, a UK-based charity dedicated to helping young people from all backgrounds develop confidence and resilience through experiences in nature and outdoor adventures.
Beatrice has been involved with the organisation since 2019, serving as a Trustee. She'll be joining her uncle, Prince Edward, 61, who will act as the Royal Patron of the charity.
Such an appointment continues a family legacy, given that Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh and Beatrice’s grandfather, served as Outward Bound’s long-standing Patron for many years until his passing in April 2021.

"With the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice working alongside us, we’re embarking on a new chapter. One where every young person has the chance to test their limits, build confidence and discover that anything is possible. Their support reflects a shared belief that adventure changes lives," Martin Davidson, Chief Executive of Outward Bound, said in a statement.
The announcement, made last Thursday (6 November), follows King Charles III's decision to strip her father, Andrew, of his royal titles and residence.
The full statement dated 30 October reads: "His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.
"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.
"Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. "

It concluded: "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
The news followed Andrew's previous announcement that he would relinquish his titles due to new allegations surrounding his relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has since been officially stripped of his last remaining titles, as formalised by the King.
Charles did so by issuing a Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm, published in The Gazette, the UK's official public record, by the Crown Office.
An entry to the record, made Thursday (6 November), reads: "THE KING has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 3 November 2025 to declare that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor shall no longer be entitled to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of 'Royal Highness' and the titular dignity of 'Prince'."
