Princess Anne’s Christmas card has huge detail missing from it

It comes after King Charles and Queen Camilla released their 2025 Christmas card

We're just a little over two weeks away from Christmas Day and I'm sure many of us are frantically rushing about trying to write and send off all our 'season's greetings' cards in time.

And the Royal Family are no different, with Princess Anne making sure she sent hers off early, as the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, recently revealed what it looked like.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (9 December), the account shared two snaps of Anne's Crimbo card, which had a message on the inside reading: "With Best Wishes for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year."

In handwritten pen, the brief message continued, 'from Anne and Tim', referring to Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

The photo on the inside of the card was captioned 'Sark 2025' and showed the 75-year-old alongside Sir Tim, 70, travelling by carriage when they visited Sark in the Channel Islands earlier this year in May.

A second snap shared by the Governor of Queensland's office showed Anne's royal monogram on the front flap - a coronet over the letter 'A' which was printed in blue ink.

Interestingly, Anne skipped her royal title, the Princess Royal, on the Christmas card.

News of Anne's card comes just a few days after King Charles and Queen Camilla revealed their own take on the annual tradition.

The card was released on Sunday (7 December) with the corresponding photo being their 20th wedding anniversary portrait, which was taken in April.

Charles and Camilla are pictured standing side by side, with the Queen’s arm linking the King’s, in the grounds of Villa Wolkonsky, the British ambassador’s residence in Rome.

The photograph is framed inside the card by a dark red border, with the printed message in a matching colour on the opposite side reading: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."

Notably, the reigning monarchs didn't include their royal titles or even their names in the sign-off.

While Prince William and Kate Middleton are yet to release this year's Christmas card, last year's one similarly saw them not sign their official Christmas card at all.

The 2024 message read: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."

The inscription was accompanied by a family photo of Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis - a still taken from the September 2024 video that Kate issued to share that she had completed chemotherapy after announcing that she was undergoing treatment for cancer.
