Princess Anne's bizarre birthday rule revealed as she issues brutal 5 year warning to Royal Family

The Princess Royal is set to celebrate a major milestone birthday on Friday (15 August)

Princess Anne's bizarre birthday rule has been revealed as she shared an impending five-year warning to the Royal Family.

The Princess Royal, the second child and only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, is set to mark a milestone birthday on Friday (15 August) as she celebrates 75 years of life.

However, she seems to be very specific when it comes to the details of her birthday bash as, just recently, the Sunday Times' royal correspondent, Roya Nikkhah, revealed the super strict policy she employs during her special day.

Namely, she's keen on a 'no-frills' approach to her birthday antics, meaning that she only celebrates major milestones - and tomorrow's celebration fits the bill!

"Anne's policy is: 'I will do things for my birthdays that have a zero, but I won't do things for my birthdays that have a five'," Roya claimed.

Anne has reportedly previously cancelled meetings in the run-up to tomorrow in order to avoid discussions about how she might mark her 75th.

While she cancelled her last major birthday celebration in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, her next one will be in 2020.

According to Roya, Anne has made plans to start 'winding down' her royal duties after that, outlining exactly how she plans to spend the upcoming years of her life.

The royal expert continued: "I was told that she's told her team: 'I'm going to start winding down a little bit at 80, in five years' time, and then I want to step back completely at 90'."

This means the royal family seemingly have just five more years to make the most of Anne's unwavering commitment before she begins to slow things down.

Making a comparison between Anne and the late Prince Philip, the expert added: "I thought the timeline was interesting – that she's looking at her father, the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, who stepped back from public life completely at 96."

But by the looks of her busy calendar at the moment, fans don't need to worry, as it looks like she has absolutely no plans of slowing down any time soon.

Earlier today (14 August), Buckingham Palace was forced to delete a birthday post dedicated to Anne after a huge blunder regarding her family.

The Palace released a list of 75 facts about the King's sister to celebrate her milestone birthday with the fourteenth fact on the list sparking mass confusion.

It incorrectly wrote that the Princess Royal has two stepchildren from her second marriage to her current husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, even listing the names of the alleged stepchildren as Tom and Amy Laurence.

The Palace has since removed the page from its website, even though it still shows up on Google.
