Prince William appeared to make dig at Prince Harry during royal visit amid 'rift' rumours

William and little brother Harry have reportedly been at loggerheads since the latter resigned from his royal duties in 2020

The Prince of Wales appears to have fired shots at estranged brother Prince Harry this week, as their rumoured fall-out rolls on.

Making a visit to the Army Air Corps (ACC) in Wattisham, Suffolk on Wednesday (4 June), 42-year-old William stopped by the regiment that his little brother was once part of.

For those in need of a reminder, Harry joined the Blues and Royals aged 19. There, he served as an Apache helicopter commander and co-pilot gunner - a role which saw him deployed to fight on the front line in Afghanistan.

Despite the regiment previously being associated with his brother, William - who served in the Royal Air Force in his younger years - was made the Colonel-In-Chief of the ACC last year.

And apparently, a visit to Harry's former base this week prompted the future king to make a remark seemingly related to familial tensions.

During a water break with a group of current soldiers, William reportedly asked (as per The Mail): "Is the pace of life good at the moment? Families okay? See you enough?"

Before the group could respond, the father-of-three went on to quip: "Some of them might not want to see you that much. It’s a mixed bag sometimes."

We certainly can't be sure whether William's comment was simply a lighthearted joke, or a veiled dig aimed at his 40-year-old brother, who resigned from his royal duties back in 2020.

That said, however, it's worth noting that Harry and William have only laid eyes on one another a handful of times in recent years, after the former fled to the States to set up shop with wife Meghan Markle.

Following their departure, Harry and Meghan made several allegations of mistreatment against the British monarchy, naming and shaming Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton specifically.

In a full-fledged memoir, several shocking TV interviews and a Netflix documentary, the couple detailed several incidents of his brother and sister-in-law having allegedly bullied his wife.

As well as claiming Kate, 43, left the former Suits actress in tears following an argument about her 2018 nuptials, Harry claimed William had once knocked him to the ground during a fiery conversation about Meghan - whom the latter was reportedly against from day one.

The foursome have not been seen publicly together since the 2022 funeral of the Princes' grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

William and Harry are also said to have avoided one another during their attendance to their father, King Charles III's coronation in May 2023.

The Duke of Sussex told the BBC last month that, despite things not looking positive, he still hopes to repair his relationship with family, insisting he didn't want to see them fight anymore.

"I would love reconciliation with my family," Harry claimed, confessing to 'so many disagreements' behind the scenes.

"There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious," he continued. "I don’t know how much longer my father has.

"You know, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile."
