Prince William and Kate Middleton accused of Photoshopping Christmas card again

The Prince and Princess of Wales have been accused of Photoshopping their Christmas card yet again.

Prince William and Kate Middleton released their eagerly anticipated 2025 Christmas card earlier today (18 December), following in the footsteps of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla as well as Princess Anne.

The image in question, taken by photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk back in April, showed the pair sitting on the grass amid spring daffodils with their three young children: 12-year-old Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 10, and little Prince Louis, who is just seven years old.

Charlotte can be seen resting her head on her father’s shoulder and holding onto his arm, while Louis looks relaxed, leaning back, sitting between William’s legs, and Kate has her arm around George.

"Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas," the card's message reads.

Now, while some people were vexed over the image choice not being 'Christmassy' enough, others flocked to social media to share their speculation over the photo being 'Photoshopped'.

Such theories echo similar online speculation following the family's 2023 Christmas card. In the black and white snap, William’s legs are missing from behind Charlotte’s chair, while others clocked that Louis' middle finger was missing, too.

After catching light of the 2025 card, one Reddit user slammed: "Kinda looks fake, to be honest."

"Boring and fake. They love cosplaying the middle-class farmer family look," seethed a second.

A third piped up: "Kate looks like she was added in the photo. Her hand seems like she's wearing a different shirt and isn't even holding Prince George, it's around something else. It's so bizarre. They could even snap a pic at the Christmas Concert."

"Were any of them actually together when they took the picture, or is it another Photoshop?" questioned a fourth, while another declared: "Kate looks like she was added in."

And a final Redditor agreed: "She does. Her hand looks Photoshopped onto George."

Tyla has reached out to Kensington Royal for comment.

The soon-to-be King and Queen's 2024 Christmas card image was taken the same day that a video was filmed where Kate announced she'd concluded chemotherapy, which she began after announcing her cancer diagnosis in March of that year.

"Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year," last year's message read.

The 2024 card in question appeared to break major protocol, given that it was in the form of a GIF, which saw snow falling in front of a computer-generated image.
