Prince Harry revealed Prince William’s explicit two-word response to finding out about Meghan Markle’s past

Prince Harry once revealed his brother's reaction to finding out that Meghan Markle was an actress, and it's rather explicit.

Royal brothers William and Harry haven't exactly been on good terms lately, with ongoing tensions between the siblings since Harry's 2018 wedding to Meghan Markle.

The rift between the princes, as well as their respective wives, Meghan and Kate, is well-documented both in the media and Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, which came out last year.

Writing in the bombshell memoir, the Duke of Sussex discussed his brother and sister-in-law's reaction to Meghan's past.

"I casually mentioned that there was... a new woman in my life. They surged forward. 'Who is she?'" he wrote.

"She’s an actress. 'Oh?' She’s American. 'Oh.' On a show called Suits. Their mouths fell open. They turned to each other. Then Willy turned to me and said: 'F*** off?'"

Harry had previously been worried that they might judge Meghan for her career, and not welcome her into the Royal family, but that certainly wasn't the case.

He was reportedly 'baffled' by his brother's response, 'until Willy and Kate explained that they were regular - nay, religious - viewers' of the legal drama.

"All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph," he wrote.

But, while Harry, Meghan, William, and Kate initially seemed to get on like a house on fire - even being known in the media as the Fab Four - their close bond wasn't to last.

The good will between the two couples was said to deteriorate in the lead-up to Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018.

In Spare, Harry also spoke about a now-infamous argument over bridesmaid dresses.

The father-of-two claimed that his wife-to-be and sister-in-law had a falling out over bridesmaid dresses for Kate's second-eldest, Princess Charlotte.

He recalled Kate contacting Meghan just four days before the wedding to say that the dresses needed remaking.

"Meg didn't reply to Kate straight away," he wrote "Yes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father [Thomas Markle Snr had to undergo heart surgery and was unable to attend the wedding]. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by. This wasn't sufficient.

"Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!"

To which Meghan snapped back: "Yes, Kate, I know... "

Harry says the infamous argument left his wife-to-be 'sobbing on the floor,' and Kate is reported to have come around with a bouquet of flowers and a card to apologise for the misunderstanding.

At the time of Spare's publication, the Royal Family chose not to comment on Harry's allegations.
