Prince Harry detailed how his wife Meghan Markle was asked to apologise to Kate Middleton over a two-word remark in his explosive memoir, Spare.
In January 2023, Harry, 40, shocked the world by dropping his tell-all, non-fiction book Spare via publishers Penguin Random House.
The page-turner and Sunday Times bestseller was ghostwritten by J. R. Moehringer, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer whose work has been turned into feature films starring Samuel L. Jackson, George Clooney, Ben Affleck and more famous faces.

All 416 pages of Spare served as the Duke of Sussex's creative outlet, allowing the father-of-two to express his true feelings on the Royal Family, including thoughts on his older brother William, Prince of Wales, father King Charles III, and mother, the late Lady Diana Spencer.
Among the bombshell revelations, Harry detailed how he and the heir to the British throne had a physical altercation. He also revealed how his dad would joke that perhaps he wasn’t his true father.
The army veteran wrote that he found this particular line of thought ‘unfunny’.

Another explosive claim Harry made in Spare was that Meghan had allegedly upset Kate Middleton with a comment she made ahead of their wedding at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 2018
He wrote that he and his wife had initially travelled to William and Kate’s residence so that the couple could ‘clear the air’ between them all.
However, whilst at Kensington Palace, Meghan was asked to apologise to Kate for a previously made comment.
It’s understood that the Suits actress was accused of ‘offending’ the Princess of Wales by saying she must have been suffering from ‘baby brain’ because she forgot something inconsequential.

"You talked about my hormones. We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones!,” Kate allegedly said, as per Spare.
Harry then recounted that William pointed his finger at his then-bride-to-be and said: “It’s not what’s done here in Britain.”
It’s understood Meghan responded by asking the Prince of Wales to ‘take [his] finger out of [her] face’.

“Meg said she’d never intentionally do anything to hurt Kate, and if she ever did, she asked Kate to please just let her know so it wouldn’t happen again,” Harry added. “We all hugged. Kind of.”
Harry added that Meghan felt confused by the mother-of-three’s reaction, remarking that she spoke to the woman in the same way she’d talk to her girlfriends.
Elsewhere in Spare, the author describes the moment he reportedly found Meghan in tears ‘on the floor’ following an argument with his sister-in-law.
In the run-up to their wedding, Harry remarked that Kate had rung Meghan to tell her there was a ‘problem’ with Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress, and that all the bridesmaid dresses needed to be completely remade.

Harry alleges that Kate sought out the opinion of Sarah Burton, who designed her 2011 wedding dress, and that she agreed the frocks needed to be reissued.
The Duke shared that Kate apologised the next day with a bouquet of flowers and a card.
