Sad 'reason' behind why Prince Harry had change of heart about sharing photos of Archie and Lilibet

The Sussexes have been keeping fans updated recently with an array of different family photos

Fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have no doubt noticed that the couple have been more active on social media recently, often sharing adorable family photos with their children.

Most recently, the Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet array of snaps from their daughter Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday celebrations at Disneyland, as well as adorable Father’s Day photos.

But when the kids were younger, it was quite a different story, and Archie and Lilibet were kept firmly out of the spotlight and away from the cameras. So, what sparked the sudden switch?

Well, according to The Mirror, a source is reportedly claiming to know why Harry had a change of heart. While fans are loving all of the content and being able to keep up with what the famous family are doing, the so-called ‘reason’ behind it is heartbreaking.

The publication reports that King Charles is allegedly ‘refusing’ to see Harry or his grandchildren, which has left the Duke of Sussex ‘heartbroken’. He’s said to be posting all of the family photos so his dad can ‘realise what he’s missing’ out on.

The source said: “Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids - not even on Zoom... It's a last resort.

“He's desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realise what he's missing."

They also claimed that Harry has made numerous attempts to reach out over the years by calling and sending letters, but ‘nothing's worked’.

For those not up to speed, Meghan returned to Instagram in January of this year and has been increasingly active on the platform ever since. Five years before in 2020, the Sussexes announced that they had made the decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family.

They then took part in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, after packing their bags and making the move to Los Angeles. Since then, tensions have seemingly been high between Harry and his family members over in England, including the King.

Just last month, he made a major claim about his father after he lost a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements in the UK.

Talking to the BBC in an interview in early May, he said: "He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff."

Elsewhere in the interview, Harry claimed 'for the time being it is impossible for me to bring my family back to the UK safely'.

"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he added.
