Despite Prince Harry recently insisting he hopes for a 'reconciliation' between his family, a royal expert believes Prince William has since washed his hands of his younger brother.
And what is said to have sparked such a decision? A series of slanderous remarks against William's wife, Kate Middleton.
What allegations did Prince Harry made about Kate Middleton?
For those in need of a reminder, following his and Meghan Markle's 2020 resignation from their royal responsibilities and subsequently flee from the UK to the States, the couple made a series of damning allegations against the British monarchy - a number of which were about Kate.

In his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry claimed that his sister-in-law had reduced wife Meghan to tears during a heated text argument about Princess Charlotte's bridesmaids dress for their 2018 wedding.
The Sussexes also recalled the fall-out during their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, claiming Kate had eventually apologised for making Meghan, 43, cry by gifting her with flowers.

During the same interview, the couple also outed a member of Harry's family for allegedly expressing concern about their son Archie's skin-tone. Though, they did not state the name of said individual.

Harry, 40, also claimed Kate was left horrified when Meghan asked one day to borrow her lip gloss, claiming his sister-in-law 'grimaced' and that the incident 'left a little mark'.
The Prince went on to allege that, on another incident, Kate had condemned Meghan for one day suggesting she might have been suffering with 'baby brain' after she failed to remember something.
Harry wrote of the incident: "Kate’s eyes widened: 'Yes. You talked about my hormones. We’re not close enough for you to talk about my hormones!' Meg’s eyes got wide too.

"She looked genuinely confused. 'I’m sorry I talked about your hormones. That’s just how I talk with my girlfriends'."
Despite his controversial claims, Harry said in a recent BBC interview that he 'misses' the UK, adding: "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."
Prince William and Kate Middleton's feelings of 'betrayal'
As we say, however, despite Harry's hopes, a royal expert doesn't believe William is set to forgive his sibling anytime soon.

Speaking on the To Di For Daily podcast this week, Kinsey Schofield explained that while the future King might be able to brush off any accusations made about him in particular - including that he once knocked Harry down during a row over Meghan - he draws the line at Kate.
"Catherine has been nothing but supportive of her husband – and that’s exactly why Prince William is so deeply hurt," he explained.
"His pain doesn’t come from personal insults or headlines. It comes from his instinct to protect the woman he loves."

Adding that 'what cuts' 43-year-old William 'the deepest' is 'Harry’s treatment of Catherine', Schofield continued: "She’s always loved him, always treated him like a little brother. That’s the betrayal William won’t forget.
"But Harry never seems to think about the consequences."
Speaking to Fox News Digital this week, British broadcaster Helena Chard also chimed in on the discussion, adding that Kate herself has simply been 'saddened' by Harry's sudden turning on her.
Chard told the publication: "Catherine and Harry shared a fun humor and were often seen giggling together at events.
"Sadly and upsettingly, Princess Catherine was dragged into the public negative narrative which was a real smack round the face for the kind sister-in-law who tried hard to be the peacemaker between the brothers."

The broadcaster went on to allege that Kate had no idea Harry's attacks on her character were incoming, having taken no particular issue with Meghan.
"Princess Catherine was happy when Prince Harry met Meghan," Chard continued.
"She was thrilled that Prince Harry seemed genuinely happy. The three musketeers became the 'Fab Four'.
"Princess Catherine [silently] cannot understand why Prince Harry still won't bite his tongue and continues his destructive path."
