The Duke of Sussex, who stepped down as a senior working royal alongside his wife Meghan Markle back in 2020, has featured in a new episode of the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast titled 'Prince Harry Wants Big Tech to Stop Hacking Our Kids’ Brains'.

The podcast episode premiered on YouTube earlier today (29 October), and it's already sparked quite the debate on social media given Harry's response when the comedian referenced a line in Spare, which came out in 2023, where Harry talked about his 'official clothing allowance' from his father, King Charles III.

"Each year I received from Pa an official clothing allowance, but that was strictly for formal wear. Suits and ties, ceremonial outfits. For my everyday casual clothes I'd go to T.K. Maxx, the discount store. I was particularly fond of their once-a-year sale, when they'd be flush with items from Gap or J.Crew, items that had just gone out of season or were slightly damaged," the excerpt reads.

Harry burst out laughing at the reference before Minhaj read out a line from the book where Harry said he shops at TK Maxx for his everyday clothes, due to the fact that his allowance only covered formal wear.

"Bro, I’m sorry you had to go through that," the comedian joked prompting Harry to banter back: "You know what, it was hard, it was really hard. TK Maxx is now a special place in my memory."

While some of the typical anti-Prince Harry brigade came out in full force to troll the father of two and hit out at his comments, many other fans of the royal-turned-Netflix-star rushed in to shower Harry with heaps of praise following the admission.

"Harry’s just having fun and showing he can laugh at himself, good to see him relaxed and open in the spotlight!" beamed one fan.

A second gushed: "A lovely conversation. Appreciate the honesty and vulnerability."

"He seems like a chill dude," wrote a third while a fourth chimed in: "Prince Harry seems like such a good dude."

Another penned: "I can only think how Much Prince Harry's Mother Princess Diana of Wales would be so proud of him."

And a final Harry fan echoed: "He comes across absolutely as the great Lady Di's son. So much compassion and empathy and humanity."
