Drew Barrymore confirms Meghan Markle’s name change during her latest TV appearance

The Duchess revealed she, Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet all share a secret surname

After breaking the news earlier this week that she no longer goes by the name 'Meghan Markle', the Duchess of Sussex is seemingly doing everything she can to reiterate her brand new title.

And apparently, this includes making her first TV talk-show appearance since marrying into the British Royal Family in 2018.

That's right - for the first time since she and Prince Harry tied the knot, mother-of-two Meghan has returned to the entertainment sector for an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The pre-recorded episode will air later today (6 Mar), and see the 43-year-old discussing her change in name.

For those out of the loop, ahead of the release of her self-fronted Netflix series this week, Meghan told PEOPLE Magazine that she, husband Harry, and their two children - Archie, five, and Lilibet, three - all share a secret surname.

The former Suits actress told the publication that her family had been using 'Sussex' as their official surname for some time, after the name was bestowed on she and Harry by his grandmother, The late Queen Elizabeth II, on their wedding day.

"It’s our shared name as a family," Meghan told the outlet. "And I guess I hadn’t recognised how meaningful that would be to me until we had children. I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together."

And as we say, she has seemingly since attempted to emphasise her change in name, including by allowing fellow A-lister Drew Barrymore to introduce her onto the famous on-screen talk-show as a 'Sussex'.

In a clip obtained by PEOPLE, Drew, 50, shouts to the audience on today's ep: "This is the Fast Five with Meghan Sussex!" before the crowd erupts into cheers.

Meghan was also seen discussing her family's surname on her new lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which was released onto the streaming service on Tuesday (4 Mar).

Whilst discussing her favourite fast-food takeaways on the show with actress gal pal Mindy Kaling, the latter responds: "I don't think anyone in the world knows that Meghan Markle has eaten Jack In The Box and loves it."

The Duchess then corrects her, admitting she finds it 'funny' that The Office actress called her by her old name.

"It's so funny you keep saying Meghan Markle, you know I'm Sussex now," she continued. "You have kids and you go 'No, I share my name with my children'.

"I didn't know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means so much to go 'This is OUR family name. Our little family name'."
