Some people are utterly convinced they've spotted what they believe is Meghan Markle's 'dead dog' in one of her latest social media posts.

Now, fans of the royals will know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tragically lost their family dog recently.

Last month, Meghan took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking video compilation of their four-legged friend, Guy, revealing that he'd sadly died.

In a tear-jerking, lengthy caption, the former Suits star explained that she'd adopted the beagle from a dog rescue in Canada in 2015, immediately naming him 'the little guy' due to his frailty at the time.

"He was with me at Suits, when I got engaged, (and then married), when I became a mom… he was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort," Meghan wrote.

Guy also featured in the trailer for her new series With Love, Meghan, prompting her to add in the caption: "I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too."

Several segments of the sweet video tribute see Archie walking Guy along with dad Harry, while others show Lilibet playing with him in the park.

Though the kids were only ever shown with their backs turned, their voices could be heard during several sweet moments - including at the end, where they're heard singing a song.

And, in a recent video posted to her Story, Meghan could be seen cutting strawberries into hearts with her children.

At one point in the clip, a little beagle could be seen running along with Meghan prompting one person to take to social media to say: "This is my recorded video of Meghan Markle’s Instagram video, and if I’m not mistaken, that dog is supposed to be dead?"

"Loads of us noticed the dead dog," commented another. "But people are saying she adopted another dog, so that’s probably it."

A third penned: "Meghan Markle had two beagles 1 died. There’s no magical dead dog in the Valentine’s Day video."

"Supposedly, that’s their second beagle," added a final X user.

For those that aren't in the know, Meghan and Harry actually had two beagles before Guy sadly died - so that pup you see in the recent IG Story is not in fact her 'dead dog' but their other beloved rescue beagle named Mamma Mia who was adopted in 2022.
