A body language expert has shared her insights on Kate Middleton's 'naughty' gesture to Prince William during the tense Six Nations match between England and Wales this weekend (15 March).

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who support different teams when it comes to rugby, could be seen in the stands cheering on the players beside one another.

According to the expert, Judi James, the married couple were enjoying a spot of 'mischievous banter', which was apparently was clear from the get go during their public appearance.

"It's William's facial expressions of mischievous, playful fun that suggest the banter that's going on between them here," she told the Mirror.

Judi explains that, at the start of the game, Kate - who supports England - could be seen sitting down 'looking serious and even slightly tense'.

William, on the other hand, was 'beaming smugly as though assuming his side would win, show-boating a little as he shook hands and chatted with people around him and waved, beaming, to other fans'.

The expert claimed that William, who was supporting Wales, appeared to take the lead in terms of confidence as he stood with a 'smug smile', while shaking hands and waving to fans showing an 'upbeat attitude', which apparently suggested he was already assuming his team's victory.

Kate on the other hand, according to Judi, seemed a 'little more serious' with her face reflecting a hint of tension as she focused on the match.

As the pair took their seats, with Kate next to Rob Udwin - president of the RFU - they appeared to engage in a 'nervous' whisper.

Turning to Rob, Kate allegedly said according to a lip reader: "He is nervous, I can see he is."

It's not yet clear which player the two were discussing, but Rob appeared to reply: "He is certainly not an amateur.

"He certainly is not," Kate replied before Rob praised some more: "He is very impressive."

A nodding Kate then added: "He plays very well as I imagined."

According to Judi, the tension later eased as England began to pull ahead of Wales and Kate's more playful side emerged as she flashed a 'naughty' smile, which showed off her enjoyment over the friendly rivalry - something which clearly amused her hubby, William.

"As the scores stacked up in England's favour it was Kate performing a 'naughty' dimpled smile, while William stuck to his puckered-mouth grins to suggest he was still enjoying the banter."
