Kate Middleton's 'true feelings' on Prince William and Harry feud revealed

Kate previously boasted a close friendship with brother-in-law Harry

It's the brotherly feud that no one saw coming.

And now, one royal expert believes they've cracked the clues on how Kate Middleton really feels about her husband Prince William's ongoing spat with his once super-close little brother, Harry.

As we say, the pair were once thick as thieves - regularly spotted partying together, teasing one another in conversations with the press, and supporting one another in the military missions that littered their early twenties.

Later, when William went public with university girlfriend Kate Middleton, the duo became a trio, with Harry often seen third-wheeling the couple, having struck up a firm friendship with the incoming Princess.

Recent years have seen the brothers tragically torn apart, however.

The UK tabloids want royal fans to believe this is all because of the latter's 2018 marriage to Meghan Markle and the alleged 'influence' she had on her new husband - something that was repeatedly splashed across the headlines.

Press claimed when the couple first went public two years earlier that William had voiced his concerns about the speed at which their romance had seemingly progressed, but that Harry had chosen to ignore him and instead, followed Meghan's lead.

According to Harry, however, nothing could be further from the truth.

In his 2023 memoir Spare, the father-of-two, 40, accused his big brother of having knocked him into a dog bowl on one occasion during a conversation about the former Suits actress.

The Sussexes also accused Kate of having reduced Meghan to tears in a wedding bust-up, and claimed that the Princess refused to warm-up to her divorced, American counterpart.

No official statement was issued by Kensington Palace representatives about their Wales' reactions to the comments made at the time.

Though, according to one royal commentator, Kate is taking her distance from Harry especially hard nowadays - particularly being that he, Meghan and their two children now life overseas in the States.

Katie Nicholl - who works as Vanity Fair's resident royal expert - told The Sun that she can see the Princess seeking 'reconciliation in some form', despite Harry having 'said hurtful things about her', and 'brought the children into the narrative'.

"I still feel it’s quite early," she explained.

"But I do think when you go through something like a cancer diagnosis and you go through the sort of journey that she has done, and you confront your own mortality, you realise life is short. It’s far too short for rifts and family feuds."

Katie added: "And perhaps that will be a role that she will play at some point in healing that rift, because I think we look to the royal family as a symbol of unity."

The royal expert went on to say that she can't see William forgiving Harry about the accusations made about him just yet.

"I think the Prince of Wales remains very, very angry and upset and feels very betrayed," Katie added. "I think she’s also someone who’s always led by example, in that sort of way of being a role model.

"I think and I was talking to sources close to the Princess and to William, who said ‘never give up hope, there’s always a chance’, but of course it’s always in the timing."
