Popular Toy Story item urgently recalled in UK stores over choking hazard
Customers are being urged to check if they have purchased a popular Toy Story themed item after it has been recalled for safety reasons.
Seven different batches of a plastic Toy Story themed water bottle have been recalled as potential choking hazards.
The bottle was on sale from Home Bargains from May 2026, to tie in with the release of the latest Toy Story movie.
Anyone who has bought one of the bottles is being asked to stop using it immediately, and ensure it is out of the reach of children.

The parent company of Home Bargains is TJ Morris, and they have issued an urgent recall.
There is said to be a choking hazard because the small plastic spout can become detached from the lid.
It is described as a blue water bottle with a red lid, as well as lots of pictures of the iconic Toy Story characters all over it.
The recalled batches are: 11449732, 11449736, 11449737, 11449738, 11449742, 11449743, 11449744.
Trading standards has also issued a warning which stresses that the product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, due to the spout problem.
The impacted batch codes can be found on the care label inside the bottle.
They are also located on the price tag.
If you have one of these bottles with that code, you are asked to return it to their nearest Home Bargains store to receive a full refund
However, if you have lost the price tag or can't tell if your bottle is in one of the problematic batches, you can still return it to the store for a full refund.
Home Bargains wrote on the recall notice: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The fears over the bottle are just the latest child safety issues, following numerous warnings about squishy or dumpling toys.
Trends involving heating the popular toys up have seen numerous children left severely injured or burned.
Some of the counterfeit versions of the toys had even been found to contain dangerous levels of a chemical called benzene, and were manufactured in China.
The 'Squeezy Dumplings’ were sold at Samsons Cash and Carry in Cardiff, and like the Toy Story bottle customers were advised to stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children.
If inhaled, benzene can cause irritation to the eyes, nose and throat. Exposure to large amounts may also cause a burning feeling throughout the digestive tract and skin irritation.”
