Volodymr Zelenskyy has inadvertently set tongues wagging this week by breaking a major royal protocol, just a month after political 'frenemy' Donald Trump was accused of the exact same thing.
The Ukrainian president landed at Windsor Castle on Friday (24 October) to meet with King Charles III, where he received a Guard of Honour welcome, complete with a royal salute and the national anthem of his home country.
Zelenskyy's visit is just the latest he has made to the UK since Russia - under the rule of Vladimir Putin - invaded Ukraine in 2022.

The most recent meeting comes ahead of crucial talks set to take place in the British capital over the weekend in a bid to end the conflict in eastern Europe, during which the Ukrainian leader will meet with other heads of state.

Prior to catching up with the King, 76, on progress behind closed doors, the pair watched on during a military parade, before heading out onto the lawn to inspect a number of the guards in attendance.
As we say, however, photographs from the high-profile get-together have since emerged online - some of which seem to show Zelenskyy making a ballsy 'power move' in Charles' presence, by walking ahead of him.

Commenting on the eyebrow-raising images, one social media user questioned: "Shouldn't the king walk in front and Zelensky behind him?"
A second asked the same thing of Zelenskyy: "Why is the little man walking ahead of the King?"
"He may be short on stature, but he's big on courage," a third added of the Ukrainian, going on to explain their understanding of royal rituals in these cases. "As a guest of King Charles, protocol states that the guest walks ahead when inspecting the guard."
"Just as Trump did," the same user points out. "And yes, I live in the UK."
Their latter remark references a move made by US President Donald Trump last month, whilst he and his wife, Melania, visited the UK for their second state visit. Upon arriving at Windsor Castle in September, King Charles escorted the politician to meet several hundred official soldiers.
In controversial live footage, however, the Republican leader was seen walking several steps ahead of the British monarch, whilst Charles tottered around behind him. Trump also committed the colossal misstep alongside the late Queen Elizabeth II back in 2019.

"Donald Trump leading the British army and walking in front of the king says it all," one social media user hit out at the time, as another alleged: "King Charles is walking behind President Trump while inspecting the guard. That’s not the tradition."
