During one of his recent rallies, the United States President went off-script and took no time at all slamming his 'stupid teleprompter'.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday (9 December), the 79-year-old Republican stood up in front of a Pennsylvania crowd where he conducted a 90-minute speech that saw him touch on a number of current affairs, including the economy, immigration policy, Democratic critics, Venezuelan boat strikes, windmills and golfing.
During the address, Trump didn't exactly deliver a focused message, but rather used the opportunity to make a number of complaints about his advisers not wanting him to talk about border security.
Needless to say, he talked about it anyway.

About an hour into his speech, Trump confessed: "I haven't read practically anything off the stupid teleprompter."

Trump had similar 'issues' with his teleprompter during his appearance at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York a few months back (23 September).
"I have no higher priority than making America affordable again," he said elsewhere during the address, before slamming Democrats. "They caused high prices, and we're bringing them down."
This was just one of a series of false and baseless claims he made during the rally.
Prices have actually increased during Trump’s second term, with the consumer price index showing that average prices were 1.7% higher in September than they were in January, per CNN's recent fact-check.
Additionally, there was a 0.3% increase in consumer prices in September, largely due to a 4.1% surge in gasoline prices. Prices were 3% higher in September this year compared with September 2024.

"You're doing better than you've ever done," Trump told the crowd at one point during the speech.
However, it's important to note that recent polling suggests the opposite, with one Politico poll finding that half of overall voters - and 4 in 10 people who voted for Trump in 2024 - felt the cost of living was the worst it has been in their lives.
Elsewhere in the speech, Trump also made false and racist claims about Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar and Somalia, as well as spouted untrue statements about immigrants and the economy.
On the subject of the economy, he also repeated false and exaggerated inflation claims, saying he inherited the 'worst inflation in the history of our country'.
While inflation did increase under his Democrat predecessor, Joe Biden, it was by no means the worst in history, FactCheck.org outlines.
