Former United States President Barack Obama has called out current President Donald Trump for his 'strange' obsession with him.
Obama, who served as the 44th President of the US from 2009 to 2017, recently opened up about his relationship with Trump, 80, during an interview with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on the All the Smoke podcast, which aired earlier this week on Wednesday (24 June).
"The leader of this current administration is still very fascinated with you and your family, constantly bringing you guys up," Barnes pointed out.
"And you’ve been out of office nearly 10 years now – how do you continue to keep your cool and take the high road, so to speak? You constantly seem to meet the negativity and racism with class, and it makes you stand out so high. But you don’t just want to cuss his a** out sometimes?"

"Rent free!" Barned chimed in.
The 64-year-old Democrat continued: "First of all, when I was president, the last thing I had time to do was worry about what somebody said, or my predecessor did. They’re gone. I’ve got work to do."
Obama continued: "The idea that I’d be worrying about somebody who came before and me trying to measure like, 'What’s he done today?'
"Constantly worrying about that is a strange thing to me. It shows me somebody who is not focused on the American people and the job they’re supposed to do."
Obama joked about having a 'suite' in Trump's head (YouTube/@ALL THE SMOKE) "The other thing that I learned pretty early in this gig was you have to screen out the noise and in order for you to understand what's in front of you and deal with it well," Obama explained.
"My whole presidency, I never watched cable TV, never watched cable news, never, you know, I didn't have social media."
Trump frequently takes swipes at Obama, most recently claiming that Iran called him a 'stupid son of a b***h' over a deal he made with the country more than 10 years ago.
Trump also accused Obama of 'treason' last month and called for his arrest, sharing posts accusing his predecessor and his allies of stealing the 2020 election from him and attempting to rig the 2016 election.
