Donald Trump's 18-year-old granddaughter, Kai, has opened up about a very 'awkward' dating moment with the Secret Service.

Kai, who is the eldest of all the 79-year-old Republican's 11 grandkids, is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. The former married couple welcomed five children, including Kai, before they parted ways in 2018 after tying the knot over a decade prior in 2005.

The teen, who currently attends the private Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens in Florida and is committed to the University of Miami to play golf, recently appeared on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, where she shared with fans a little more about her love life.

In the podcast episode, which aired yesterday (6 January), Logan asked Kai what it was like dealing with the Secret Service for the second time around, after growing up with it during Trump's first term as POTUS from 2017 to 2021.

"It’s tough. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t tough," Kai confessed. "It was a big adjustment having them come in, and then having to adjust my schedule and just kind of go about my day. It’s weird when you’re just like hanging out with your friends, a group of girls, and you have like a tall guy standing like three feet behind you. It’s weird."

According to the golfer, it also puts a bit of a spanner in the works when it comes to dating.

She continued: "To be honest, it’s really awkward when you’re... going on a date with a guy, and they’re two tables behind you. It’s a little weird.

"But I try my best not to let it bother me, and I think I’ve learned, especially in the last year now... [that] yes, they’re following me, but also to focus and pretend like they’re not there."

During the chat, Kai was also asked to open up a little more about her own personal politics. However, it's clear the teenager wasn't keen on sharing such information.

"To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely," she admitted. "I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing, and I think if both sides met in the middle, everyone will be so much happier."

Kai added: "There are a lot of people who get too extreme, and that’s where social media really ties into it because... there’s not a lot of things on social media where it’s very much of the middle, and I think that makes some people crazy and some people buy into it too much."
