Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai branded 'out of touch' after revealing 'dream job'

As the eldest granddaughter of US President Donald Trump, you might think that Kai Trump might want to head into politics too.

The 18-year-old was answering questions on her social media page, when someone asked what her dream job would be.

Many people would love to be a rockstar, a famous YouTuber or a pro-footballer, but Kai revealed what she would love to do more than anything, and critics have branded her response as 'out of touch' and 'delusional'.

Kai is the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa, who is a model, and she is majoring in marketing and management.

She has been building a growing profile as a social media influencer, as well as playing golf, and it seems she is pretty happy where she is after coming back from a recent injury.

Upon being asked what her dream job would be, Kai responded: “My dream job is literally what I’m doing now."

“Playing golf, social media, entertaining, creating my own business, I think that’s my dream job,” she replied.

Considering how famous her family is, you might think those are fairly reasonable aspirations - but many viewers were left unimpressed.

The video has since been viewed more than 866k times.

So basically unemployed wonderful dream,” alleged one social media user.

“There was no job mentioned,” replied another.

"So no job. Sorry honey, I love you, but that's not a job," added one Instagram commenter.

"Serious question, since you're already doing what you love and you have plenty of money, what is the point of you going to university?" asked another.

"Clueless, out of touch," slammed one critic.

Others were quick to defend Kai though, writing: "Let's stop harassing a teenager because of who her grandpa is. She can't help it!"

"I'm sorry, why do you guys hate on her and bash her about politics when she's not even part of it? I don't even like Trump but she has done nothing wrong," said another.

“That is pretty good," agreed others.

"Run for president!" suggested one commenter.

Kai previously opened up on the Impaulsive podcast with Logan Paul about how she has no interest in politics.

“To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely. I’d never run [for President]. I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing.

“I think if both sides met in the middle everyone would be so much happier,” she added.

“There’s a radical left, radical right, there’s a lot of people who get too extreme," saying she is in the middle.
