Donald Trump was met with a surprisingly warm welcome from Joe Biden as he and wife Melania arrived at the White House.

It's official - Donald Trump is now the 47th President of the United States.

During his inauguration ceremony earlier today (20 Jan), the 78-year-old Republican leader was sworn into the White House and Oval Office once again and became the second man ever to serve two non-consecutive terms as US president following Joe Biden's 2020 stint.

Trump has promised a lot to Americans across the nation ahead of his second term in power. And unironically, first on his list was resurrecting TikTok - which we're sure went down extremely well.

It was Joe Biden's last day as President of the United States, and he addressed the nation he has served for four years for the final time on January 16 with a warning.

In a farewell speech, he warned: "I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. And this is a dangerous concern. And that’s the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy people."

However, today, as he welcomed Trump back into the White House - it appeared there was no animosity between the two. Take a look:

In a friendly two-word greeting, Biden appeared to say 'welcome home' as he shook Trump's hand.

Both Joe and Jill, alongside Melania and Donald, all posed for a photo in front of the iconic building. And it seems the two couples actually share more than one thing in common with each other.

Every President and First Lady are given code names at the beginning of their term.

Joe and Jill were known as 'Celtic' and 'Capri' by their security teams, for instance.

Meanwhile, back in 2017 during his first stint in the White House, Trump picked 'Mogul', as a nod to his entrepreneurship and money-mindedness.

Melania was given 'Muse', and his son Donald Trump Jr. is 'Mountaineer' - monikers all of which will remain during Trump's second round at presidency.

However, the Obama's took a slightly more wholesome approach when deciding their code names.

Barrack was known as 'Renegade', his wife Michelle was 'Renaissance', their daughter Malia was known as 'Radiance', and their other daughter Sasha was nicknamed 'Rosebud'.

Of course there is just one rule to the names - each family member's code name has to start with the same letter.
