Donald Trump issues warning to Israel after saying he 'isn’t happy' with country's latest move

Donald Trump has handed Israel a stern warning not to retaliate after the country accused Iran of firing a batch of missiles in their direction earlier today, just hours after the pair agreed to a ceasefire in the Middle East.

Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, the US President - who proposed said agreement last night (23 Jun) - wrote: "ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION.

"BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES."

The Republican leader - who dropped three bombs on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, seemingly in support of Israel - has also spoken to press this morning on Iran's alleged ceasefire violation.

After the latter claimed they had sent no further missiles in Israel's direction after agreeing to peace, Trump has since told reporters at the ongoing NATO summit in The Hague that he's 'not happy' with either party.

He added that he's specifically 'really unhappy' with Israel, adding that it would be a 'major violation' if they responded to the latest missiles.

The 79-year-old also encouraged the nation to 'bring your pilots home, now', adding that Iran's nuclear capacities are 'gone'.

"They [Iran] violated it but Israel violated it too," Trump said. "I’m not happy with Israel."

In response to the latest missiles, the Kremlin in Russia also vowed to 'develop relations with Iran', just hours after President Vladimir Putin condemned Trump for his 'groundless' bombing of three Iranian nuclear bases over the weekend.

It was Trump that first announced a ceasefire between the powerful parties last night, after Iran bombed a US nuclear base in Qatar, claiming online that peace was 'now in effect', and telling the pair: "Please do not violate it!"

Trump's announcement was met with initial confusion at the time, however, with neither Iran nor Israel confirming that a ceasefire agreement had actually taken place.

As per the BBC, Israel hadn't publicly accepted any terms, whilst Iran claimed the peace has been 'imposed' upon Israel - though, they themselves had agreed.

Both countries subsequently agreed to the 'complete and total ceasefire' deadline that Trump handed them, with an official statement from Israel reading: "Israel will respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire."

Adding that their country had 'achieved the objectives' it needed to with its initial attack on Iran, the statement continued: "Israel thanks President Trump and the United States for their support in defence and their participation in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat."

The Israeli military has since claimed to have been subjected to a number of further missiles today, reportedly launched by Iran.

In response, the nation's air defence systems are said to be 'operating to intercept the threat', and the Israeli Defence Minister vowed his forces would 'respond forcefully to Iran's violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran'.

Bezalel Smotrich, Israel's finance minister and close ally of the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also issued an eerie threat on X (formerly Twitter), promising: "Tehran will shake."
