Donald Trump has left the internet confused once again after he was spotted 'taking a little walk' on the roof of the White House.
Earlier this week on Tuesday (5 August), the 79-year-old Republican strolled across the rooftop after previously sitting down for a TV interview about the United States' finances, later calling up Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy while his top negotiator travelled to Moscow for last-chance ceasefire talks.
"What are you doing up there?" reporters on ground level shouted up to Trump, who was taking some time out from international crises to turn his attention to an entirely different matter altogether - construction.

Responding to the questions, Trump - who was being kept watch by snipers from the top of the West Wing - simply told the baffled journalists: "Taking a little walk."
Needless to say, it didn't take long for people to rush to social media to share their confusion.
One X user penned: "WTF! What is Donald Trump doing on the White House roof?"

A second echoed: "The f*ck is Trump doing on the roof?"
"Omg. President Trump is literally yelling back to reporters while on the roof of the White House, about how he is personally out-of-pocket funding renovations for the White House," a third chimed in, before quoting him as saying: "Just like my salary is contributed, but NOBODY ever mentions that!"

A fourth couldn't help but draw parallels between Trump's rooftop excursion and one particular scene from a throwback episode of The Office US.

"2007: Michael Scott explores safety training techniques on the roof of Dunder Mifflin. 2025: President Donald Trump explores 'taking a walk' on the roof of the White House," they quipped.
A fifth slammed: "Donald Trump appears to wander onto the White House roof 'to take a walk'. He just started answering reporters' questions and is shouting down answers. He can barely be heard and he makes no sense.
"Is something wrong with Trump’s brain?"

During his mid-morning rooftop stroll, Trump was joined by the likes of James McCrery, the architect who has been tasked with building a new White House ballroom.
Explaining the reason for the unusual site visit, Trump gestured towards the location of the planned extension and implied that he and McCrery were checking out the site.
"Just another way to spend my money for this country," he shouted down. "Anything I do is financed by me."
