Donald Trump’s seriously odd Star Wars AI photo of himself has people spotting a very awkward mistake.

The official White House and POTUS Instagram accounts shared the snap on Sunday and captioned the post: "Happy May the 4th to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting so hard to bring Sith Lords, Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, & well known MS-13 Gang Members, back into our Galaxy. You’re not the Rebellion - you’re the Empire.

"May the 4th be with you."

The bizarre image in question featured an AI-generated version of a very jacked-up Trump posing in front of two bald eagles and two American flags wielding, you guessed it, a lightsaber.

Now, the lightsaber in question was red.

In case you didn't know, in the Star Wars universe, a red lightsaber typically signifies a practitioner of the dark side of the Force, most notably the Sith, who wield them as their signature weapon.

People rushed to social media to share their reactions to the blunder with one Instagram user writing: "Your lightsaber is red. That means you’re on the Dark Side. You’re with the bad guys - you’ve finally admitted it."

"Imagine watching Star Wars your whole life and still thinking the guy with the red lightsaber is the good guy," quipped a second, while a third chimed in: "This is so f*cking embarrassing."

A fourth pointed out: "Again, red lightsabers are the bad guys…"

"Of course you have a red light saber. Also, what the actual f*ck is this," hit ouT a fifth.

Another joked: "At least they got the lightsaber colour right."

And a final Instagram user lamented: "I cannot believe this is the actual White House account. Laughingstock of the world. Wow."

This is far from the first time the official White House account has been called out for its uploads as, just over the weekend, it shared an AI-generated snap of Trump dressed as the Pope following Pope Francis' funeral.

Additionally, the White House was recently dubbed a 'meme page' due to its St Patrick's Day post and branded 'sickening' over its serious shocking 'ASMR' video showing immigrants in shackles.

Trump was also slammed for his highly insensitive AI 'Gaza Dream' video featuring a massive gold statue of himself, Trump dancing closely with a belly dancer before panning to Elon Musk dancing on the beach while a crowd cheered him on as money fell from the sky and children played with it.
