Donald Trump and the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, have come under some fresh accusations today (18 Jun) after a text message between the pair was leaked amidst ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
The private message was inadvertently released to the public by Trump in the hours after the US President had his say on the latest missile attacks that Israel launched upon Iran - more specifically, the region of Tehran - over the weekend.
After Iran retaliated with missiles of their own, Trump publicly claimed his patience was 'wearing thin' and called for Iran's 'unconditional surrender'.

"We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding," he wrote on Truth Social. "He is an easy target but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.
"But we don't want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
He then followed up with another post simply declaring: "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER."

Whilst an Israeli military spokesperson later insisted that 'no cities' are safe, Iranian officials subsequently issued a warning of their own, claiming that America's potential involvement in Middle Eastern battles could risk 'an all-out war in the region', ITV News reports.
Naturally, following the release of a text that Trump received from the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, civilians in the States are fearing this threat of global warfare.
In the message, Huckabee described the Republican as the 'most consequential president in a century – maybe ever', after claiming that God 'spared' him from his assassination attempt back in July 2024 so he could deal with the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.

"You have many voices speaking to you Sir, but there is only ONE voice that matters. HIS voice," the Israeli continued.
"I am your appointed servant in this land and am available for you but I do not try to get in your presence often because I trust your instincts.
"No President in my lifetime has been in a position like yours. Not since Truman in 1945. I don't reach out to persuade you. Only to encourage you. I believe you will hear from heaven and that voice is far more important than mine or ANYONE else's."

Huckabee went on to claim: "You sent me to Israel to be your eyes, ears and voice and to make sure our flag flies above our embassy. My job is to be the last one to leave. I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down!"
The message concluded: "You did not seek this moment. This moment sought YOU! It is my honour to serve you!" before signing off 'Mike Huckabee'.
Since their release, the leaked messages have since triggered fresh accusations of Trump and Huckabee, with critics theorising that the layout and formatting of the texts seemingly supports the idea that it had been written using ChatGPT.

One social media user asked X's AI detection tool: "@grok is this a ChatGPT text?"
Another inquired: "Message written with ChatGPT?"
The supposed giveaway? The ambassador's usage of hyphens.
These pieces of punctuation either serve to emphasise a point already being made in a sentence by providing more content, or sum up the information at the end of the sentence.
They can also be used to emphasise a specific point.
Apparently, however, AI pieces of work rely heavily on hyphens. Though it's worth noting, bots prefer to use elongated dashes without spaces—like this, whilst shorter ones used by legitimate writers, who include a space - as such.
Whilst we can't definitely confirm that the text message was written with the assistance of AI, it certainly makes an interesting theory.
