People have made a seriously worrying point after spotting Donald Trump’s allegedly 'furious' reaction to Elon Musk during their joint interview.

The 78-year-old president and Musk, 53, put on a united front as they sat down with Fox News' Sean Hannity at the White House earlier this week on Tuesday (18 February).

During the interview, the pair spoke of each other in very warm terms, prompting Hannity to flatter the pair, saying: "I feel like I’m interviewing two brothers here."

The interview aired following speculation of tensions between Trump and Musk over criticism of the Tesla CEO's prominent role in Trump’s administration and suggestions that he was usurping the president’s power, earning the moniker 'President Musk'.

Such criticisms have been fuelled by Trump’s known dislike of sharing the limelight.

A clip of the interview is now circling on social media of Trump randomly interjecting if Musk 'liked Bobby', referring to RFK Jr when he was speaking about Neuralink. People shared their reactions to the dynamic between Trump and Musk, with many speculating that the Republican leader was 'mad' at the CEO.

One X user penned: "Donald Trump looks big mad Elon Musk was hogging the spotlight in his Fox News interview with Sean Hannity."

"The whole world can see who’s in charge and it’s not Trump. Quite embarrassing, actually," claimed a second while a third declared: "In this interview, it's evident that Musk holds the reins as CEO, having essentially purchased the presidency for Trump, and now the CEO will be closely aligned with his employee, Trump."

And another echoed: "Now you see who is in charge and takes the spotlights. Egos that will clash in the very near future."

Despite these theories, the interview saw the pair go to pretty great lengths to shower praise on one another with Musk gushing: "I love the president, I just want to be clear about that.

"I think President Trump is a good man. The president has been so unfairly attacked in the media, it’s really outrageous."

He continued: "And at this point, I’ve spent a lot of time with the president, and not once have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel or wrong, not once."

Hannity then claimed liberal media outlets 'want you two to start hating each other'.

"They threw everything at you… They want a divorce," Hannity said. “And they try all, 'President Elon Musk', for example. You do know that they're doing that to you?"

Trump then revealed that such prompted Musk to call him.

"Actually, Elon called me. He said, 'You know they're trying to drive us apart'," Trump recalled. "I said, 'Absolutely'."

He added: "It’s just so obvious. They're so bad at it… I used to think they were good at it. They're actually bad at it, because if they were good at it, I'd never be president."

Elsewhere in the interview, Trump also returned the favour of complimenting Musk, describing him as 'caring' and 'amazing' before saying: "This guy’s a brilliant guy. He’s a great guy. He’s got tremendous and scientific imagination.

"But he’s also a good person. He’s a very good person, and he wants to see the country do well."
