People spot Donald Trump hiding something during press conference and it's raising a lot of questions

The US President took questions in the Oval Office yesterday (25 Aug)

Questions have been raised regarding the US President's wellbeing after spectators picked up on some slightly shady behaviour during his latest Oval Office press conference.

Appearing before press yesterday (Mon 25 Aug), Trump was questioned over plans going forward with regards to the Russia-Ukraine war, as well as the recent National Guard deployment in Washington D.C., and his recent unconstitutional attempts to amend the American election process.

While taking questions, however, the 79-year-old could be seen holding his own hands tightly as he sat at his desk.

He behaved in a similar manner when he welcomed the South Korean president into the same office later that day.

It didn't take long for onlookers to notice that, while speaking during both interactions, Trump remained unusually still, and refrained from the animated gestures he's usually famous for.

As such, some witnesses believe he might be hiding something in or on his hands.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one critic questioned: "Does anyone notice that trump is hiding his hand in this video and not doing his usual hand gestures?"

Another asked outright: "Why is Trump continually hiding his right hand?"

"Somebody ask why Trump is covering his hand," a third begged. "He’s intentionally hiding it."

A fourth went on to point out that a slight bruise appeared visible on one of the President's hands.

"Here is Trump again hiding his bruised right hand," said user wrote. "Why does no journalist ask him about it? Why all so complicit?"

This isn't the first time that the Republican frontman has been questioned after sporting the purple blemish on his right hand.

While welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron to Washington back in February, Trump's bruise was identified by HD cameras.

The same protuberance was also spotted in April when the right-wing leader presented the 2025 Commander-in-Chief trophy to the Navy Midshipmen football team, where makeup had been plastered across his hand.

Concern for the politician reached such a degree earlier this year that White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was forced to address the hand bruises, claiming the injury had been caused by how many hands Trump shakes daily.

The President himself made a similar claim back in December, which saw him acknowledging the blemish during his Time magazine Person of the Year interview in December 2024, insisting he'd been 'shaking hands with thousands of people'.

Despite their assertions, the ceaseless bruising hasn't been able to prevent further conspiracy theories from forming, including one which suggests Trump's injury might be down to infusions.

One individual that agrees is Dr Gareth Nye, a lecturer at the University of Salford, who told the Daily Star that the bruise could in fact be 'from an IV drip', with the discolouration resembling the kind left by a needle insertion.

"That suggests he's getting an infusion every month," Nye explained.

The same expert also suggested, however, that the bruising could be caused by 'blood thinning medication', or sun exposure triggered by a lot of time spent outdoors, possibly playing golf.

Tyla has contacted the White House for comment.
